After our neighbouring country India declared about stopping the supply of petroleum products then he was concerned about being independent about it. After doing many studies and research he found some alternatives of the petroleum products and since it is beneficial for the government as well as the public we had the interview of Khatiwada and published it.
1. Is there any alternative or would Nepal be in dark after the lack of petroleum products?
– There are many alternatives and we can be in light without a big budget and there are alternatives for vehicles too in front of our eyes and these alternatives aren’t even new for the world.
2. What are the alternatives of Petrol?
– ‘Majhibara’ or ‘Step Raspberries’ the oil of the black seeds of this works as the petrol and easiest part is it doesn’t need any purification or process to be used even in the engines of today’s world. And another is the ‘Alcohol of Sugarcane’. It can also be used as the alternate of petrol or diesel but for this the vehicle must be modified little bit. ‘Battery, Solar or Gobar(dung) gas’ these are ancient alternatives but a very reliable.
3. Where can we find the oil of ‘Majhibara’ or ‘Step Raspberries’? Is it practical?
– It is found anywhere in Nepal but now it is not practical in Nepal. They are everywhere around the bushes if we want then we can produce it in large amount.
4. Alcohol of Sugarcane?
– This is not even in practice in Nepal but in Brazil it is produced and maximum used and in country like ours, it is possible to be in practice too. It can be used after taking out the juice of sugarcane so it doesn’t even cost much. Even maize plants are useful.
