During an informal meeting with editors of various media outlets, UML Chairman Oli said a national unity government of Nepali Congress, UML and the UCPN (Maoist) would be formed and that it would carve out an objective for economic progress and prosperity framed under a national vision.
Referring to the misunderstanding with India following the promulgation of the new constitution, Chairman Oli said the parties were ready to address its reasonable concerns. The UML Chair clarified his opinion saying he felt the disruption in the import of goods from the Indian side of the border following the issuance of the new constitution should not have occurred.
“We are holding talks with India in formal and informal levels, this problem will be resolved soon,” he said.
The Chairman said he could not understand the demands put forth by the discontent Madhes-centric parties. Oli was of the opinion that although the constitution guaranteed equal and democratic rights for all sectors and classes, there had been some illusions regarding it among the people.
“The disputes that emerged earlier over identity issue has been addressed,” he said, adding, “We are moving forward after correction.”
He also urged the FM Radio stations in Terai to not accommodate subjects that spread illusion and dispute but lend us support
