Baitadi, Jan 15: Two companies have been granted permission by the Department of Mines and Geology for carrying out the excavation of lead in Darchula.

Torex Mines Nepal Pvt Ltd and Black Head Mines Nepal Pvt Ltd have been given permission of the lead excavation works at Dhap of Api Municipality and Rani Shikhar VDC.

Darchula is believed to have mines of various types of minerals including copper, lead, iron, gold and Uranium.
