The three cities contain 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The seven include the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu (Hanuman Dhoka), Patan Kathmandu sightseen, Budhanilkantha, Nepal Tourand Bhaktapur; the Buddhist Stupas of Swayambhu and Bauddhanath; the Hindu temples of Pashupati and Changu Narayan. The ancient cities of the valley; Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur, Kirtipur, Chovar and Dakshinkali represent an epitome of harmony in urban design, elegant architecture and refined culture. Swoyambunath, Boudhnath, Pasupatinath, Narayanhity Palace Museum (The Royal Family’s Palace), Golden Temple, Mahaboudha, Matsendranath, Patan Krisha Mandir, Museum, Palace of 55 windows, Golden Gate Chagunarayan temple are the major attraction of the Kathmandu valley. It boasts a unique symbiosis of Hinduism, Buddhism and Tantrism in its culture.
