A man clung to the top of a crane hundreds of feet in the air - at one point hanging by just his hands - in a bizarre six hour stand off with police .
The 21-year-old reportedly clambered up the machine following a night out with friends and family in Brisbane.
ABC News reported the man repeatedly said "Keep f*****g climbing" as he evaded attempts to bring him down.
Video taken from the ground shows the man standing on top of the structure before lowering himself beneath the crane and dangling by his arms.
For several heart-stopping moments, it looks like he is about to fall, as he swings his legs in an attempt to get back onto the crane.
Eventually he succeeds in wrapping his legs around the machinary - only to swing beneath the crane using just one arm.
