Ten places have the possibilities of Oil Sources in Nepal. It has been 3 decades studying about the possibilities of Oil Sources in ten blocks of Nepal but still cannot be proved. The Government gave the responsibility to France and private Company of America for the investigation and excavation but as they didn’t work properly the agreement was cancelled. Last time the government system did the investigation and find out ten blocks where there are possibilities of oil sources. They are: Dhangadi, Karnali, Nepalgunj, Chitwan, Lumbini, Birgunj, Biratnagar and others. Sarbajit Mahato, General Director of Department of Mines and Mesozoic said they need to make different Global Tender for further more investigation and excavations and they are in the procedure of it. He also added that there may be economic problem to investigate all the blocks at once as one block may cost 25 billion.
